Attention: Drinking Water Warning

Your tap water has high levels of nitrate.

Do Not give water to infants under 6-months-old or use it to make formula or juice for infants.

Nitrate samples collected on 1-10-12 show nitrate levels of 15.29 mg/L

This is above the nitrate standard, or maximum contaminant level (MCL), of 10 milligrams per liter (mg/L).

Frozen Water Line Concern

This winter has been very cold with little snow to offer extra insulation from frost.  Trouble with frozen water lines has become more evident.

The City Public Works Supervisors are encouraging city water users to run some water to avoid having frozen lines.
